The CMM2 has a pivotal role in service planning, co-ordinating, and managing activity and resources within the Midwifery Led Unit. The main responsibilities are quality assurance, resource management, staffing and staff development, practice development, facilitating communication and professional / clinical leadership. A key role for the CMM 2 in the Midwifery Led Unit is promoting and further developing the Supported Care Pathway as part of the National Maternity Strategy.
