There is currently one permanent, whole-time vacancy available in Cavan Monaghan Louth Community Healthcare within Adult Mental Health Services.

 

A panel may be formed as a result of this campaign for Grade VII Housing Co-Ordinator in Cavan Monaghan Louth Community Healthcare

within Adult Mental Health Services from which current and future, permanent and specified purpose vacancies of full or part-time duration may be filled.

Organisational Context

Purpose of the Post 

The Housing Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the Integrated Health Care Areas Cavan Monaghan, Louth Mental Health Management Team,

to progress the transformation of existing services by developing and sustaining strategic housing initiatives. The post holder will lead and coordinate the work of mental health services

across the 2 IHA areas in supporting service users accessing and maintaining appropriate housing, in particular the implementation of the National Strategy for the Housing of People with Disabilities 2022 – 2027.

 

Details of Service

The HSE has created six new health regions. Each region is responsible for providing both hospital and community care for the people in that area.

Bringing community health services and hospitals together means we can take a more patient-centred approach to healthcare. 

HSE Dublin NE is responsible for the provision of all acute and community services across the counties of Cavan, Monaghan Louth, Meath and North Dublin

and is operationally divided into 4 Integrated Health Areas (IHAs) – Cavan Monaghan  IHA, Louth Meath IHA, Dublin North City and West, IHA and Dublin North County IHA,

each managed by an Integrated Health Area (IHA) Manager.

Qualifications and/or experience

 

This campaign is confined to staff who are currently employed by the HSE, TUSLA, other statutory health agencies*, or a body which provides services on behalf of the HSE under Section 38 and Section 39 of the Health Act 2004 as per Workplace Relations Commission agreement -161867

1.     Professional Qualifications, Experience, etc

 

Applicants must demonstrate all of the criteria below, as relevant to this role:

 

(i)    Have experience of delivering change programmes within housing, and/or mental health and/or other areas, as relevant to this role.

(ii)   Hold a degree or professional qualification relevant to social work, health, health care management, mental health, and/or housing.

(iii)  Have at least 3 years postgraduate experience in social work, health, social care, housing or other relevant settings.

(iv)  Have previous experience in a supervisory/management role (desirable).

A candidate for and any person holding the office must be fully competent and capable of undertaking the duties attached to the office and be in a state of health

such as would indicate a reasonable prospect of ability to render regular and efficient service.

 

3. Character

Each candidate for and any person holding the office must be of good character.
