The job of a Grade IV/ Assistant Staff Officer can be extremely broad based and varies greatly. Staff are required to work across all service areas within the Hospital covering the necessary shift patterns and work rosters.
The Grade IV Assistant Staff Officer for the Emergency Department will be required to be available to work a 35 hour shift roster, across 7/7 days including day and night duty and over weekends.
A panel will be formed from which future permanent or temporary vacancies maybe filled.

Age restriction shall only apply to a candidate where s/he is not classified as a new entrant (within the meaning of the Public Service Superannuation (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 2004).
